Nobody who knows me will be surprised that I bought more books. I salivate at the thought of the library's semi-annual book sale. I have a routine that I have established over several years: weed my collection to make room for new-to-me books, stand in line for doors to open to the public on the first day of the sale, haul in a rolling cart since I intend to buy a lot of books, head to the education section first, load my cart with $1 books, head to the better book section for some real treasures for which I am willing to pay a few more dollars.
This year I scored big on books that I can use in my current job. I facilitate professional development in two rural schools, so I was thrilled to discover a wide assortment of recently published books that support my work with teachers. I suspect someone retired and generously donated a professional library to the book sale.
